Fifteen-year old on bike rescues five-year-old girl from abductor
It's the worst thing that can happen to a parent: your child goes out to play and doesn't return. This is exactly what happened in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, prompting a frantic search throughout the neighborhood. Upon hearing the news, two quite remarkable teenagers also pitched in to help.
One summer's day, five-year-old Jocelyn went out to play in her peaceful neighborhood. But five minutes later, she had disappeared without a trace.
With her daughter suddenly gone, Jocelyn's anxious mother called the police and soon the entire neighborhood was on the lookout for the missing girl.
Though pictures of Jocelyn were quickly printed and police and fire crews extended the search, the little girl was nowhere to be found.
Fifteen-year-old Temar Boggs was hanging out with some friends when he heard that something was wrong. After joining the search with his friend Chris, Temar happened to spot a car that was being driven around in a suspicious manner; the driver keep on driving up dead-end streets before quickly reversing back out. It was as if the driver didn't know the area, but wanted to get out of there as quickly as they could.
Temar and friend started following the car on their bikes. For over 15 minutes, they kept up with the vehicle after seeing Jocelyn inside. Now filled with panic, the driver suddenly pulled over, pushed the girl out of the car, and sped off again.
The scared little girl ran over to Temar and called out for her mom. Leaving his bike on the sidewalk, the boy took her in his arms and reunited Jocelyn with her family as quickly as he could.
Temar quickly became the hero of Lancaster. As Jocelyn's family and neighbors embraced him, the modest young man said that helping out was simply a matter of course and not a heroic deed.
It turned out that the perpetrator was a convicted child abuser. Thanks to Temar's intervention, the abductor is now back behind bars.
Temar and his friend Chris were then richly rewarded for their excellent work. A generous woman from New York who'd like to remain anonymous was so impressed by the young heroes that she set up a donation page to help pay for the two boys' college fees. The campaign was such a success that it managed to raise twice the amount they needed!

Thankfully, these two boys were quick-witted and brave enough to confront the abductor. Without their courageous intervention, who knows what would've happened to little Jocelyn. Excellent job!
